I collaborated with the creative team at Firstborn to design and shoot the poster campaign for their first art show, held at The One Club in New York.
For this project, I took on two roles: Director of Photography (DOP) and lead fabricator. The production involved building a massive physical set using seamless paper and foam board. Because of the size and complexity, we used a specialized grip setup to hang and align every piece perfectly in front of the lens. This careful physical layout allowed us to keep the look totally consistent as we captured both the high-resolution posters and the video assets.
To make the transition between stills and film work, I designed a lighting scheme that gave the posters a sharp, "clean" look while still providing enough depth and texture for the camera to move through the space beautifully on film.
