Amazon Prime
Isometric Library

I was commissioned by Amazon Prime Creative to help develop a modular isometric image toolkit centered around the Prime Box and the wide variety of products it carries.

Our technical goal was to create assets that worked flawlessly at any scale, from tiny app icons to large-scale print ads. We designed the lighting with this flexibility in mind, ensuring the images could be used interchangeably within a modular system. Since every camera lens naturally creates some perspective distortion, achieving a true isometric look—where lines remain perfectly parallel—was a unique challenge. We solved this in-studio using a specialized lens system and perfected the alignment in post-production to ensure every image fit our master grid.

Respect the grid” was our shoot motto for a full week in Los Angeles as we captured over 80 objects facing both left and right, ensuring every piece of the puzzle was ready for post-production.

To make the system as versatile as possible, we developed an intuitive file structure. This allowed object colors to be easily changed, making the potential combinations nearly endless while keeping the files easy to navigate for teams around the world.

The final delivery included over 100 assets now used by Amazon Prime’s expanding global markets. You can still see many of these images today within the Amazon Prime app.

One of my favorite results of this series is the "Q-Bert" illusion created when the boxes are laid side-by-side.
