Atlantic New York
In 2021, Atlantic New York opened their office on the bridge of the Mary A. Whalen, a historic tanker docked in the New York Harbor. I teamed up with them to design and fabricate a personalized buoy for their unique new space.
Drawing inspiration from traditional naval signage, I designed a custom stencil typeface that reflected the ship's industrial aesthetic. After hand-cutting the stencils, I spray-painted the artwork directly onto the buoy on-site.
The project was a true New York summer experience—complete with a well-earned Mister Softee break to beat the heat.
