Inspired by the vibrant, high-contrast colors of toy tools, I created this series as a focused study on color theory, contrast, and composition. The project served as an exercise in design and art direction just as much as it was a technical photoshoot.
In photography, converging lines and triangles are powerful tools for guiding a viewer’s eye. My goal was to lean into the natural geometry of each tool, incorporating as many triangles and leading lines as possible into the arrangements.
I kept the lighting clean and intentional, using defined shadows to create negative space while ensuring the light was shaped enough to make the various textures "pop."
After sourcing the tools and selecting the color palette, the fabrication followed a straightforward process: prime, paint, and shoot.
