I worked with designer Abraham Lule in creating this set to bring the Sonoran Desert to my Brooklyn studio.
The whole shoot revolved around the Sonora typography work.
We started by using printed backdrops to create our horizon line and mountainscape. Blue foam was used to create the dunes and mountains. All covered with glue and sand for color and texture.
The typography was laser-cut in styrene and mounted to the fence model.
All this made for a cinematic showcase of the typography.
